My wooden rings are made of recycled lumber, some simply found,
but much of it is sourced from individuals who find it hard to
discard with wonderful woods such as the elegant neck of a violin
that has made its humble existence filling orchestra halls with the
sounds that soothe the human soul. Or a mother who cannot part with
her sons little league baseball bat as she recalls the wonder and joy
on his face. I handcraft every ring to bring out the warmth and honesty
of the wood and endeavor to maintain its original spirit. I can custom
transform a piece of wood
to your specifications. You may provide the wood or I can
provide
it for you. If you provide the wood it must be at least
12”
x 1” x 1" with the grain running the length of the
wood. I will work with you to help
transform any
wood into its new life of beauty. The
price for commissioned work is based
on the
intricacy of the work required. My goal with any commission
is to
help transform a piece of wood into something noble and worthy of its
prior life. If you would
like to place a order for commissioned work, or you would like to make
an enquiry you may contact me here.
The couple that designed this wonderful set drew their inspiration from
music and idea two souls have found one another in life. Each
lover
whole and complete until their paths cross, symbolized by the inlayed
birch wood. Forever they will stand as complete souls which have been
brought together by music. To live lightly on our earth is more than
just plastic or paper it is to live with a deep connection to
it. The
ring is made of wood from an old guitar(rosewood) which has a greater
mean because he is a musician who plays and that is how they met.
